one more website , to feed us info on old films from from 1930
it has composers section , a listing of over 4800 films
and melodies section with 7000 songs
its managed by k sundar.

an interesting info i saw was OUR mm has given music to gaslight mangamma with V kumar
can any one expand this . i havenot heard this before
is not thirokovil thedi rathi devi vandhal a melody from that movie?

Dear Vijaykrishna,
Mr. Sundar is a scholar in both Karnatic and Film music and a performing artiste. He has put in so much of hard work in bringing out this data of Tamil Film Melodies. Hats off to him. I had attended the launch and the snaps are put on the Site. Thanks to him.
Thirukovil thedi Rathi Devi Vandhal was from the film Mittai Mammi later named as Dheivam Thandha Veedu. And a few songs (ponnana ullam unnodu irukka sung by B. Vasantha) was composed by Mellisai Mannar MSV for the film Iru Veedugal but due to reasons beyond our purview, V Kumar composed other songs and bgm for that film and completed it. Gaslight Mangamma was fully composed by Mellisai Mannar.

thank you for the info on mr sunadar - also that gas light mangamma -songs are composed by MM
not clear with mittai mammy - sorry - is thirukovil thedi tuned by Mm or by kumar .
