Dear Friends,
I am again recalling a great songs composed by VR for the above mentioned movie.

The first song is 'Thangam pongum meni undhan sondham ini' is one of the great song set in Hindustani Style which is sung by Smt Balasaraswathi. The song is set in Raga Shudh Saaranag. Immediate other reference for the raga song is 'iravum nilavum valarattume' and 'illakkanam maarudho'. The second charanam is in a different raga may be 'Bhasanth' I am not sure. The reference to Raga Bhasanth is the song 'Kalayum nee maalayum neeya' by A M Raja.

This song is proof for an absolute mastery & control Shri MSV had on the Hindustani Style.

I just searched on the net to find out any opinion on this songs and happy to have found a conversation between Saravanan and Raghapravagam Sunder the link I am giving below.

I tried in the net for the song to share with you but unfortunately it is not available and it is also not in the movie. I have the audio track of this and have sent to Mr. Ragasuda to upload in the youtube and share with all of you.

Continuing with the above subject just giving below the link of another article written by Mr. SARAVANAN about the singer Bala Saraswathi. On reading the article I am really pained to know the plight of her. The fate is always very cruel to the real artists sometimes.
