I absolutely fell in love with this MSV song I listened this morning ‘iniyavaley...’ - Shri.TMS & P.Susheela.
‘iniyavaley...’ Starts with TMS & Susheela’s humming - very relaxed , TMS slowly lures romantically with ‘iniyavaley...... inbamellam yendhivarum ilamai kondaval!’ Romba nannayerukku!! running around with a smile! One song at a time I intend to find out Shri.MSV ..... Love, Vinatha! |

Susheela’s pathos - ‘yennai marandhadhen...’. Soulful humming prelude with a gentle percussion doesn’t over power the vocalist, supports her emotional call softly, emotive shenai interlude carries the mood of the song without a break. The end of song doesn’t leave you with appadiye manasa puzhunju, but Satisfactory!!
Enjoy

Sweeping Singara rasam from the Classical Elite!
http://www.musicindiaonline.com/p/x/B5QgRAoJ3S.As1NMvHdW/
“Baby, I shine with finer aspects of Music!
Music(bgm, ludes) is the integral part of the composition.
I polish with Raaga’s essence.
Meaningful lyrics, expressive singers make my compositions immortal!
Prichu prichu pakkamaatta!”
Densely packed cascade of music , essence of elegant RAGA BOWLI tastefully polished the melody( Calming flute prelude, expressive humming, emotive pallavi’sugamaana sindhaniyil... etc.. Goddess of Carnatic music MSS waves with joy ‘sriman naarayan.....”- Annamaachraya krithi! No discrepancy my ears pick up! YUMMY ! )
Sugamaana sindhanaiyil....
Lover boy with his girl(janaki) in Taxi Driver delivers with passion!
Love, Vinatha. |

I am back with this day's MSV treat!!
IT IS HUGE!!
Modern! Glamourous! Graceful!
http://www.musicindiaonline.com/p/x/1Jfg6_r.Id.As1NMvHdW/
As I pick up ASAVERI chaayal in the fascinating pallavi (chandram bhaja...DIKSHITAR krithi....MSS- sumanasaranjani scale-thanks RR)...
The shrewd composer energize the musical with dazzling jathi, vivacious humming , enticing percussion (Alternates - string instrument strumming WCM & traditional tabla+strings backdrop) coherent interludes, composition sparkles with counterpoint melodies(KJY/VJ humming while guitar strumming at the back in the prelude, Grand finish with Vocal counterpoint -VJ sings the sahithyam, KJY’s humming at the back) .
Vibrant Vani Jayaram romances Legendary Yesudas with poise in her voice!
3 decades + this song is so FRESH, ‘andha maanai parungal...’ steals your heart forever!
Was a chartbuster Then!! Will put the competition under water Now & Forever!!
Enjoy! vinatha. |

Dear Vinatha,
In the song you have mentioned "Thalayaam Poo Mudichu" from the film "Paagapirivinai", you can see our LEGEND ACTOR Shivaji starting the song with a beautiful dance step. A great actor with original inaginative talent.

Yeah, that DVD had 'naan pesa ninaipadhellam...'too! Two finest acting talents with two distinct compositions with opposite rasas(singara rasam, themmangu with a pathos touch), I played them back to back, couldn't resist marvelling each time as though I am watching them first time.
Emotion packed compositions!
love, vinatha. |

especially that "drum beats" in the charanam, before starting the lines
thirunaal varum adho paar
tharuvaal sugam idho paar
and in second charanam.............
idhazaal udal alandhaan
ivalo thannai marandhaal
and the sangathis at the end of each word, master only can do. |

I am watching 'kudiyirundha koyil' first time that too in installments
so for me, its Eureka moment
Wish you all a Happy & prosperous tamil new year!
As I want to finish watching the movie ‘kudiyerundha kovil’ this rainy Saturday afternoon, Shri.MSV thrilled me. What a genius!!
‘Thulluvadho ilamai...’ is a very fine SPANISH genre music. Orthodox clapping, guitar chord progression decoration, elongated, improvised melody, trumpet passages showered generously on the composition.
‘Aadaludan paadalai kettu...’ is a stupendous BHANGRA!!
In one movie, he has come up with three genre of songs, just like that. That I call HUMILITY!!
love, vinatha. |

Thanks a lot for MSVTIMES.COM for bringing these gems to our enjoyment! First time I am listening to this grand composition.
Stately, pleasing countryside tune enriched with flute passages, chorus improvisations & vocal counterpoint add to the sophistication!!

atleast now, you people started to watch these movies and realise the capability and stuffness of the "real creator" shree msv sir. (we saw hundreds of times and crying about his real geniusness).
unmaiyaana thiramaigalai yaar, eppadi maraikka muyandraalum avai kandippaaga veli vandhe theerum.
just imagine, you are wondering about the songs, which the real master created in 1968 (thirtynine years before) |
