I really feel we should not bother too much about the lack of recognition given to MSV by the Governments. These people come and go. And lot of factors play a role there. Why should we be expecting these short living politicians to come and recognise the everlasting creator? Why should we be bothered about these trivial things? Is it really worth to get such awards by the efforts put up by MGR, RMV, JJ, KK and all, as mentioned? Would we have to accept that Tagore is a much better writer than Bharathiyar just because he got a Nobel prize or received an honour of SIR by the British? Did the lack of awards bring down the fame and power of Bharathi by any means? No awards can bring justice to the stature of people like MSV or Kannadhasan..Do we remember for whom the awards like DADASAHEB PHALKE AWARD or PADMA BHUSHAN given last year? We dont even remember them. Forget it. Let us not get any complex about that or loose our energy levels over this issue.

What a post dear Sankar !!! Amazing points you mentioned in this small post...

Hats-off!

"MSV does not need an 'AWARD' to prove anything" - Truth-1
"Many used his talents and did NOTHING in turn" - Truth-2

Both are definite TRUTHs !!!

Whatever the case be,

"MSV has given immortal tunes for generations to enjoy" - An Ultimate Truth.

Dear Shankar & Ram,

Very well written. Though I had written a very lenghty letter to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalaaam, nothing happened. I have since changed my view on these so called awards.

"AS MSV HIMSELF SAYS, UNMAIYAANA RASIGARGAL THAN NAAN SAMBAATHITHA SOTHUM, PUGHAZHUM".

All of us must be really happy & gifted that we are living in his era enjoying every moment of his music. No award can equal this love & affection we have for him.

LONG LIVE MSV & HIS MUSIC
CHEERS
MSV IS MUSIC
VAIDY

Yesterday I got oppertunity to watch the 'Rukkumaniye' song from this movie Oli vilakku, after a long gap (in a good DVD print).

What a song and what a comppossing...!!!

Violins, Brass section, Guitar and other instruments were used tremendously by our MSV sir to a maximum level. TMS and Eswari sung utmost. Well piturised with MGR and Jayalalitha.

Balaji sir or Saradha madam or others, can you analyse this wonderful song here?.
