Thrilling Thematic Tunes of M.S.VISWANATHAN & His Orchestra (Instrumental)
I think this album is released in the year 1970 by HMV. It’s a stereo recording.
HMV is not only His Master’s Voice but also Honorable M.S.Viswanathan.
MSV has used almost all the instruments in this album from folk to carnatic to western.
11 numbers are there. Each number will be as matching to the title.
Reminiscences – beautiful violin
Fields & Storeys – with folk bgm
Quo Dharma
Swing-O-Spring – lovely whistle
Eve of Kurukshetra – with horse sounds it takes you to the Kurukshetram
East-West Wedding – With Nadaswaram, Thavil, Piano, Drums
Train Music (Toy train with children) – excellent number
Holiday Mood – It takes you to the holiday mood
Rasa Leela – This number will be played during the “Uzhaipavar Ulagam” program in Madras Doordarshan
Melody Medley – excellent number
Percussion Ensemble – An ensemble of all instruments. A beautiful usage of Tabla in the interludes.
Every MSV fanatic should possess this album. _________________ Meendum Santhippom Viraivil...

DEAR ALL
THRILLING THEMATIC TUNES IS REALLY AN AMAZING INSTRUMENTAL FROM OUR MASTER THAT WAS CREATED WAY BACK IN 1969 , IF AM WRITE. UNFORUTNATELY, THIS PURE INSTRUMENTAL ALBUM IS NOT KNOWN EVEN TO MANY OF MSV'S FANS
LUCKILY, RAMKY UNCLE HAD THE AUDIO CASSETTE THAT WAS CONVERTED TO A CD AND IS VERY MUCH AVAILABLE WITH US
WE WOULD SOON MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO GET THIS ALBUM UPLOADED IN OUR WEBSITE.
THANKS TO MAHESH SIR FOR REMINDING THIS ALBUM....
OUR MASTER WAS REALLY AHEAD OF HIS TIME WHEN THIS ALBUM WAS RELEASED.
ONE CAN BRING OUT EMOTIONS WITH LYRICS AND TUNES EMBELLISHING THEM. BUT OUR MASTER HAS DONE A MARVEL SO AESTHETICALLY WITHOUT ANY LYRICS AND WITH JUST THEMES...!!! A REAL MUSICAL TREAT TO A KEEN LISTENER !!!
AS MAHESH SIR SAYS, THIS IS INDEED TO BE POSSESSED BY EVERY MSV FAN.....
MSV RULES !!!

Migavum sariyaga sonneergal Mr.Venkat.
38 years back... wow... amazing... Ithu STEREO recording enbathai gavanikavendum...
What surprises me is that during that time, MM has scored lot of movies. But why all these movie records are not in STEREO recording.
Why the producers/directors didn't gave importance to this aspect... Cost karuthiya...
I have audio cassette of this album. Bought 17 years back.
Nowadays intha cassette entha shop-layum partha ninaivillai...
It will be very nice if HMV will come out with CD of this amazing album. _________________ Meendum Santhippom Viraivil...

Dear friends,
While reading all your posts I am delightfully amazed at your uncontaminated admiration for MSV -the unique composer par excellence.
My request to our friends is to go for personal collections of CDs/ DVDs through our WEBSITE FRIENDS by paying a nominal amount. As far as I know all these commercial firms marketing these songs do not pay royalties to earlier composers. Will it be wrong to honour MSV in this the most respectable way. The proceeds ,ay be sent to the composer or properly utilized for propagating the glories of glorious compositions. Pardon me if I am wrong.
Warm regards Prof.K.Raman Madurai _________________ Prof. K. Raman

I do not know if the cassette purchased so many years back would be 'good enough' a quality for re-recording by the company...? I have the cassette, and hopefully in a good condition....
