Dear friends,
This is another outstanding composition from the legendary master. The film is Malathi. The rhythm, the tone, the tune, the feel, the instruments, the voice, every thing synchronised well in this song. Should have been a bumper hit had the film succeeded. This was released along with Engirundho Vandhaal, Sorkkam, Kaaviyatthalaivi, during the Deepavali of 1970. All these films had music by MSV, all these films had a character drunkard and there were some more similarities. But MSV excelled in each film in his own style. This song will cherish all senior fans and they will be humming this tune for quite a long time henceforth, I am sure. The voice of SPB will be scintillating. Oru kodi thaamarai kaiyodu eduthu ennai sirai vaitthado enna sugamo sugam the lyrics will go something like this. And continued, undhan kannil vizhundaeno sellakkiliyae, some like that and the charan will end, "parthadu podhuma, kettadu venduma, sugamo sugam, sugam .....
You should hear it to enjoy.

Beautiful song Sir ! Very Happy I remember hearing it quite regularly in AIR . SPB's early days still but the voice was youthful . Another song of MSV without any proper rhythm. The charanam has a lenghty wording ....Oru kodi thamarai........... indha sugamo sugam ! Thank you for the recollection dear Ragasuda .
