Taxi Driver is Jai Shankar's 150th film. And its merit was seen if not in other areas, definitely in music. Shanthi my holy angel is a very popular number, and it is out and out SPB in this film. This song, Sugamaana sindhanaiyil, is a marvel from the Mellisai Mannar. The voice of S. Janaki in this song will be very difficult to identify since she would have sung it in entirely different style, in fact I for once thought it was Vani Jayaram. Appadiyae nenjai allikkondu pogum pattu. Sugamaana sindhanaiyil - aarambamae arpudham - chorus aarambithu, violin matrum chorus, matrum keyboard, matrum tabla, matrum rhythm, pin S Janaki yin voice ... kelunga kelunga kettukkonde irunga .....

Dear Mr.Raghavendran,
Thanks a lot for providing the link of a Sugamana paadal.
WOW... What a lovely usage of chorus, violin, particularly Mridangam.
Voice of SJ is so sweet.
Sri MSV has used SJ seldom. But all will be gems.
ரொம்ப வருடங்களுக்கு பிறகு கேட்டேன்.
Infact ippo kooda song ketunde dhan type pannitruken (already non-stop-a 3-4 times kettachu... ).
Neenga sonna mathiri "Appadiyae nenjai allikkondu pogum pattu".
Thanks once again. _________________ Meendum Santhippom Viraivil...

Dear Mr.Raghavendran,
I have a doubt.
Is it Mridangam or Tabla Or both are used in this song?. _________________ Meendum Santhippom Viraivil...
