DEAR Mr. RAGHAVENDRAN
THIS PRELUDE IS FROM THE SONG 'THULLI ODUM KALKAL ENGE". I HEARD THIS BGM AND ALWAYS REMEMBERED, BUT UNFORNUNATELY FORGOT THE SONG. THIS SONG IS NOT MUSH FAMOUS LIKE OTHER SONGS BUT THIS BGM IS SO CATCHY THAT YOU COULD NEVER MISS IT.
AS I HAD TO SEEK FURTHER INFO, I CALLED MY FRIEND SRIKUMAR WHO IS ALSO A MSV FAN. HE TOLD ME THE SONG NAME.
TRIPLE CONGO AND BANGOOS COMB RHYTHM FOR THIS IS BGM IS BRILLANTLY. THE MELODY IS OF THE COMB OF VIOLIN, MANDOLIN AND FLUTE. WHAT I PIECE.
THANKS FOR MAKING ME REMEMBER THIS BGM NOW.
MSV FANS ALWAYS THINK ALIKE.

Dear MUrali,
Fantastic. As you said, this is one of the best songs of MM (of course all of him are best). And this one did not get the popularity it deserved. And if you could notice, this one would be a different from other songs not only of Periya Idathu Penn, but also of Viswanathan- Ramamurthi, because to my personal assumption, there might not be any role for Ramamurthi in this particular song. Because this purely reflects MM's style. However the core crew can get more info on this.
And I appreciate your iinvolvement in MSV which helped you recognise it immediately.
I would like to add more such questions in future, based on the response of fellow MSVians.
