Beethoven has been one of the greatest composers of all times (my personal opinion!). His music has so much of discipline, depth and emotions that goes beyond the depth of your heart.
Symphony No. 5 has been a personal favourite for me. He shows such a wide range of emotional depths with inimitable musical discipline and authority. |

I have not heard of many Beethovan compositions; But Fur-Elise is one of a composition!!! Change from Minor to Major scale and again to minor is the beauty in that! |

Dear Satheesh and Ram,
I do not know how I missed reading this thread till now. Beethoven is my favorite too. I do play some Mozart and Handel on the violin. It has helped me to understand and enjoy MSV much better.
Bach is specially attractive as I find that many songs of MSV lend themselves to the Bach type of counterpoint in playing bass. I try it with the bass guitar and find it is great fun. Especially in songs like AdiKatti VandhaNilavo [ T.R.Mahalingam/P.Suseela].
