Dear Friends,
Using the data available in the Filmography section, I tried a gross analysis of MSV as a composer over a period of 52 years beginning from 1952 -2004. For the sake of convenience the entire tenure is divisible into 10 blocks of 5 YEARS EACH, THE LAST of these spans 8 years [1997-2004] However startling revelations are in store even for a cursory glance. For the sake of statistical evidence I have onsolodidated the data as under with the movie numbers in parantheses.
1952-56 [15]
1957-61 [24]
1962-66 [69]
1967-71 [77]
1972-76 [102]
1977-81 [116]
1982-86 [72]
1987-91 [25]
1992-96 [09]
1997-04 [05]
The graph has witnessed a steady progression from 1952 -1981 for 30 years at a tretch. MSV HAS REGISTERED THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF MOVIES BETWEEN 1977 AND 1981 when some one else is said to have 'ruled'TFM. Right from 1967 to 1986 MSV has also scored for the number of movies that were higher than the number in his early or later career. This signifies that his single-handed performance as composer was never inferior in terms of number or quality. Obviously OUR contention of MSV's supremacy stays true and genuine.
