Dear Friends,

There is one another instance in which I felt the director got inspiration from the composition of MM. The movie is ‘Avan Than Manidhan’.

In the song ‘Koondallukku Poochooti’ when the song was about to end there is a back ground music which is similar to the horn of a ship. See the movie and we would notice that both Sivaji and Manjula would be in ship in that frame when the song ends.

In the same movie in the other song ‘Anbu Nadamaadum Kalaikoodame’ in the beginning Manjula would help Sivaji in wheel chair as he got fracture in his leg and under going treatment. The melody and the rhythm of the song goes in a normal way initially. In the first charanam Sivaji would be in a wheel chair. In the 2nd charanam he would walk with a stick. By this way the director without words has conveyed the feeling that their love has been blossoming for a few months.

The beauty is in the interlude before the 3rd charanam. The interlude deliberately goes faster with the usage of the instruments Trumpet and Flute. In the picture we would notice that Sivaji gets complete cure from the fracture and would be running followed by Manjula.

I think MM would have been told about the sequence of the shooting of the song. That is the reason he deliberately kept the interlude of the 3rd charanam in a faster pace.

This shows how the director, Camera man, MD, Dance master can help each other if the have clear idea about what they are going to do. They could give a cohesive product in which the talent of all of them could be understood and appreciated. It would stand time.
