Dear Friends,
There are a number of songs with conversational inserts through the item. Unfortunately most of them elude the memory. Whatever comes to my mind I give here.

'Sakka podu podu rAja' "Bharatha vilas"
'uLLathil nalla uLLam' "KarNan"
'mAdhamO aavaNi' "uththaravinri uLLe vA"
'kAdhalikka neramillai' The song opens as 'kanchana chinna
vayasila -kadhalikka nreramillai'
'aarambam inre aagattum' opens as 'ippa enna time-nalla time
thaan'
'aththan en aththaan' opens on a dialogue with parrot ' adhai
avanukku koduththaL ..... enna saridhAnE?'
Others may please what they remember.

Thsanks for the opportunity

Warm regards Prof.K.Raman Madurai.

Dear friends,
"Ninaithu paarkiren en nenjam inikkindradu"-literally I can feel the bliss in this song. SPB mumbles and mutters a few lines during this song. It is exquisitely tuned by MM.
We can never forget the great "Uppai thinnavan..." by the master himself with his excellent dialogue and messages.
Yet another captivating duet by SPB-PS: "Odam kadaloram adhu sollum ...". SPB melodiously questions in between. This song fills our hearts with romantic delight.

sai

OUTSTANDING Song mentioned by you (OODAM).This song was picturised in sea shore. What a start with humming(I think MM only did not sure) followed by flute . Excellent singing by PS&SPB. especially ETHO ADHU ETHO ATHAI NANUM NINAIKINREN .see the variation in each line, followed by flute and trumphut which will take you to heaven(of course you will feel night atmosphere in the composistion.

Thanks for reminding the jewel.

regards
ramesh

Dear friends,
Just remembered the following songs in this style:
1. Love birds-PS-Anbe Vaa
2. Kumari pennin ullathile-TMS/PS

The latter one has the "good night" etc. at the fag end.

Hi,

This is a nice thread, which I came across only today. The numbers which are not listed are -

1. "Chinna Chinna Kannanukku" from "Vazhkkaip Padagu" (where Gemini starts with the dialogue "ada sirikkiriye")

2. "Thedinen Vandhadu" from "Ootty Varai Uravu" (the actual version of the song has KR Vijaya reading the opening lines of the lyric "Thedinen Vandadhu Naadinen Thandadhu" which is followed by amazing Clarinet and Violins piece).

3. "Kangalukkenna Kaavalillayo" from "Nil, Gavani, Kadhali", which has a wonderful piece of dialogue superbly rendered by LRE.

4. "Ammamma Keladi Thozhi Kannaley Ayiram Sedhi" from "Karuppup Panam". If you listen carefully, the style of dialogue delivery in this song has been copied by ARR in the song "tu hi tu" from "Dhil se" ("Uyire" in Tamil).

Cheers!
