Dear Mr. Sivakumar,
Nice that you were able to watch Mega TV's 'Endrum MSV' the latest episode. In your observation a small slip has come by. The Gemini movie song was 'nEtru varai nee yArO' and not 'poo varaiyum'
also the item was from among the first ever work of MSV-TKR for Gemini banner as MDs. Also, MM was full of gratitude when he recalled SS Vasan had paid an advance of Rs 10,000/- [Now it may look trivial; but 45 years ago, it was fabulous] and how often MSV has recounted it. It shows his gratitude as much as his well known humility.

Dear Prof,

I remember during MSV's program in Doordarhan some 15 years before, the first serial on MSV, he mentioned the advance as Rs.25000. He checked up with TKR and found that TKR also received Rs.25000. I once heard Ganesh (Shankar) boasting in an interview that they were paid Rs.25000 for a film, a sum that was paid to VR. Apparently, SSV paid them double. But the figures may not be accurate, since MSV often has memory lapses.
