Next in the List is from the film PUDHIYA PARAVAI. Immediately after the song "Partha Gnyabagam Illaiyo", the Hotel Supervisor introduces Sowcar Janaki to Sivaji. The background score for this scene by Mellisai Mannargal is a classic example. It starts slowly with a humming (by Henry Daniel), with Jazz rythm in the background while the chat goes on, during the pause, the trumpet intrudes, again guitar in the background, and during the pause, guitar is playing the tune the trumpet was played, then the song "I don't know love" by Henry Daniel, then again when they get ready to leave, the jazz instruments all are played and do you know what it leads to?
Varavendum Jazz peace from Kalaikovil.

And the beauty is the voices of Nadigar Thilagam and Sowcar Janaki. Observe the modulation they provide for other words and the phrase "pleasure is mine", "thanks", etc. While pronouncing pleasure is mine, NT expresses his joy and immediately when they observe the time he changes his tone to a hurriedness as to it is getting late in the night.
Here we need not see it with eyes but can visualise it with the dialogue delivery and bgm, that it's a late night at a night club.

These have been done in 1964...
What else do you want to prove the versatility of MSV-TKR?

Listen and observe

Perfection personified. The BGM really carries the mood and takes the scene forward. Very imaginative and only he can do this!
