Would like to highlight the "Thogayara" mentioned here in the beginning of Madana Maligayil... This is a great work on Madhyamavati ragam , with complete expressions (Bhavam) by great TMS . I wonder every time here this Thogayara. What is folloeed is more interesting , when our master crafts a wonderful light music melody on same Madhyamavati. There are lot more intricacies on this song , which I am not touching. This song is defintely a milestone and a full fledged lesson on Music Creation from classical music , for any aspring composers!!!!

Dear Mr.Jeyaram,
There is an interesting incidence behind this song and this was told by our beloved Shri.MSV himself in an interview some years back in Madras DD.

He has composed nearly 7 tunes for this song. And everyone was very confused which one to select.
At that time a boy came to that location.
They played all the tunes to him and asked him to select a tune.
That boy after hearing all the tunes told that combine 2 tunes together.
Thats how the song came out.
TMS will sing Madana maligayil followed by PS singing the same line in a slightly diffrent way...

The song will be nice even if you sing the song with these tunes separately.
