Unique stage song with professional touch in all aspects(music/lyrics/acting/direction). THE EVER GREEN EZHU SWARANGALUKUL ETHNAI PADAL.

We all know Vani Jayaram got national award for this song.

MSV made opening scene unforgotable with his MELODIOUS TOUCH.He decided that THIS SONG SHOULD BE QUOTED FIRST WHENEVER & WHEREVER PEOPLE TALK ABOUT STAGE SONG.

MSV used RAGAM BANDUVARALI for EZHU SWARANGALUKUL

RAGAM RANJANI for ENAKKAGA NEE AZHUTHAL

RAGAM SINDHU BHIRAVI for AARAM BATHIL PIRAUPPAM UNN KAVIL ILLAI

RAGAM KAMBOTHI for NALAI POZUTHU ENRUM NAMAKENA VAZHGA.

Clearly shows GENIUS presence of mind for chosing RAGAS to express the character/lyric/situation. one more example how deeply he involves for each composistion.

One more example : KANUM MANITHARUKUL ETHANAI SALANAM after this line MSV GAVE REPLY THROUGH VIOLIN BIT.Extradionary way to express the lyric SALANAM.

No need to tell about KANNADASAN LYRICS. ENNAKAGA NEE AZHUTHAL IYARKAYIL NADAKUM NEE ENAKAGA UNAVU UNNA EPPADI NADAKUM.

Clearly says YOU HAVE TO UNDERGO SUFFERING WHAT YOU DID YOU CANNOT TRANSFER THIS TO ANOTHER PERSON. Simple way of telling Human life .

By the bye I met senior carnatic musician last night and he explained lot about this composistion and I could not able to write as I dont have carnatic knowledge. He declared that only GENIUS LIKE MSV CAN PRODUCE SONG LIKE THIS.

regards
ramesh

True true Ramesh. This song is ragamalika ! U know KB always demanded the best out of MSV & was giving apt situations for both Kavignar and MSV to come out with precise wordings & tune.

This song was an exception in the sense that there is no given situation . Its just a title song with Srividya appearing for a music programme.Still MSV gave a mind blowing tune .

Adhisaya ragam & Kelviyin nayagane were heard everywhere those days.

This movie's songs were craze and quite popular in AIR for long.

And finally hats off to Vani Jayaram & Mellisai Mannar had picked the most ideal person to sing a raga based song !

may be mr.balaji

but, even msv sir gave wonderful songs in 'ninaithaale inikkum' and in 'varumaiyin niram sivappu', this selfish balachander ran to 'another man' for his 'sindhu bairavi'.

why..?

Dear Mr.Irene,

Labelling Mr.Balachandar "SELFISH" is too much. He is a great director. Balachandar did many hits with Music Director Mr.V.Kumar in his initial period and then moved on to our Legend Shri MSV. Could we call it an act of injustice to V.Kumar?
Would we call Director Mr.Sridhar a selfish person for doing his later films like Thendraley Ennai Thodu with Illayaraja?
Kamalhaassan though being a great admirer of Illayaraja, is now doing films with other younger generation music directors only. These are all compulsions they face. Let us hear good music; enjoy them; appreciate the talents and the legends. I feel we should not feel too emotional in these areas.

Dear Parthavi,

Thanks for the link. While Charulatha Mani analysed in detail about the usage of Panthuvarali & Raga Maaligai in Ezhu Swarangalukkul, her choice of an IR song was too mediocre after having listened to the aboorva song in TFM.

I am sure music lovers would have clearly gauged the quality in an MSV composition with that of others.

Thanks once again. This is exactly what we have been saying all these while. That no one has ever offered the musical variety with so much of diversity like MSV. So for people like us, we prefer to spend the rest of our lives under the shadows of MSV where serene atmosphere is assured.

CHEERS

MSV IS MUSIC!!!
