Dear friends, I have been searching rare Gems of MSV and finding it very difficult to get them. May be I am searching at wrong places.

I went to a recording shop in Vadapazhani owned by Ali Khan. But many of the rare gems are not there with him.

I asked for Mangala Vathiyam songs. He could get me "Vella Kaaka" song only. He said he deleted the songs which are not asked for.

I asked for vadaimalai songs and I got only one song "Oru paarvai pothum".

I have a huge list of movies. Where will I get them in Chennai?

Please help me.

thanks,
Ragavan

Mr. Ragavan,
Your anguish is understandable. In msvtimes website, We have only around 500 songs. I feel that we, msvtimes should be the torch bearer for enlisting as many MSV songs as possible in our site for the future generation to understand and appreciate. But unfortunately my scream is yet to be implemented. There is also a fear of copy rights. But I understand that once 30 years lapsed the copy right act ceases. Can some informed people clarify this?

We as individual members have more collections. I myself is holding around 2000 songs all neatly indexed movie wise which I am willing to upload in our site. Besides many of our friends like Sabesan, Mani etc have huge collections of not only his movie songs but private albums as well.

I think it is time we decide to do this.

By the way to sort out your problem I have the song 'Rajathi kumkumam' from Mangala Vadhyam. If you wish I can mail it to you if you provide your mail id.

Hi Murali,

Thanks for sharing the same feeling. Even I am not sure of copy right issues. May be some somebody dealing with legal stuff can throw light on this
