Aanandhi has beautiful melodies including Kannilae Anbirundhaal (TMS) & (PS), besides this song. If any of you has not heard this song before, just play suttum vizhi chudarae from Gajini and fill up those lines with this song's lyrics. That's it. TMS has proved once again his versatility.

This song is among one of those rare songs which are not played too often in the radio. Superb beats make this a foot tapping tune. Instruments will mesmerise you. This is a must to be heard song of MSV.

One of the best films in the career of Saroja Devi. She will tell in one of the scenes, "dukkam varumbodhu thaneer kudippaen, udanae adangi vidum" - It was a famous dialogue when this film was running. There was a stiff contest between Saroja Devi and Vanishree in acting. This was one of those stepping stones for KBalachander through MSV's bgm. You should not only listen or view the songs, but the whole film is a memorable and musical journey.

This is also one of those rare songs not played too often, but one of the best songs of MSV. P Madhavan used innovative techniques in this film both in picturisation as well as concept. All other songs have come for discussion under various topics. This stands separate and unique in that film.

Film: Anbukkor Annan
Song: Then Madhurai Veedhiyilae
Singer: TMS Seergazhi Govindarajan
This is a super hit song even before the film was released. Produced by Shri Neela Naaraayanan (former District Secretary of DMK, Chennai) and this was played every nook and corner of Tamil Nadu. The voices of TMS and Seergazhi mingled so well that at one stage it will be difficult to find which is the voice of TMS and which is that of Seergazhi. Such was their synchronisation in singing.

Song: Vellikkizhamai raatthiri neram
Singers: L R Easwari Saibaba
This is one of those few songs Saibaba (TS Balaiah's son) gave voice for Nadigar Thilagam. Beautiful tune, foot tapping beats, rhythm, make this another memorable song of MSV. It is to be noted that Saibaba was used for playback for Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji Ganesan, only by MSV and no other music director used him for Sivaji.

Song: Vaalibam thottuppaesi
Singer: L R Easwari
When we were at teens, this song was simply mesmerising the youth at then. It will do so to today's teens. It will do so to tomorrow's teens. It's guaranteed. L R Easwari's voice will simply take you elsewhere. Vaalibam thottuppaesi naalaachi, vandadhum mattadukku naanaachi, vaasalai thirandhu vaa ... the lyrics will go on like this. Listen and find yourselves.

This is one of those rare melodies that was played frequently in the Vividh bharathi. This song was used a bit for ad in the Radio. Though not a super hit, the rhythm, the beats were all a class, particularly bgm.

Folk tune. The song has its life only with the MSV's thogaiyara, otherwise it would have become dry, of course PSuseela has rendered the song with her ease and bgm is justified. Though the song is simply great, it is mainly owing to the improvisation of the tune with the thogaiyara. Imagine the song without the thogaiyara, you'll agree.

Another folk based tune from MSV. Superb melody makes this a memorable song. Unfortunately the film miserably in spite of the star cast incl. Gemini Ganesan, Jayanthi, Muthuraman, Cho, etc. Songs were the only saving grace.
