Dear Friends,
It was a pleasant surprise to come across the singer Vani Jayaram on the early morning chat show on Sun TV (Surya vanakkam). She spoke about MM now and then, mainly about his composing, teaching styles, etc. with great admiration and reverence. She was being interviewed by the Pattimandram speakers Raja and Bharathi Bhaskar, and the second part is to be telecast tomorrow morning. During the brief period, she sang 'Malligai en mannan', 'Malligai mullai' and (the ghazal-inspired) 'Meghame meghame' (by Shankar-Ganesh).
