Dear All,

This is one of the bets song by VJ not very heard often. The song starts in the raaga 'thilank' and goes to the dust bin when the charanam comes. The idea of taking the charanam on chords based melody was indeed superb. Then the raaga comes back just before VJ takes the 'swara prayogam' and that is his link melody to trace back to charanam.

What can I say about this genius ?. A lovely way of connecting the charanam to pallavi by a 'KALPANA SWARAM'

Dear Jeev,
I do not have link for any songs from sankar saleem simon. Infact I was suggesting Mr. Vatsan yesterday that this being the official site of MSV we must have almost all his songs. The solution for this would be for us to organise a song bank with somebody who has to take the responsibility to collect songs from all the MSV iars and provide to the moderator so that the best available copy can be uplinked in our site.

Dear Mr.Murali,
How did you remember this rare song! I have seen this movie during my school days. Rajnikanth played a subdued role and Vijayakumar/Manjula as the lead pair.

The highlight was the MSV-SJ duet with our MM singing in a romantic voice in qawalli style. Catch the mood when he sings "...nishani hai" and note the roughness in his voice there. It is marvellous!
The VJ song is a fast-paced one with gear shifts as illustrated earlier. She has sung this effortlessly and with a pleasing nasal touch. You have brought back some wonderful memories. Thanks!
